It is a matter of regret that there is no update works in the website of Indian Museum for above 6 years. In this matter when we contacted Mr. Basudev Dasgupta, OSD & Project Manager Indian Museum; he informed us that they knew the fact and they also have conducted a meeting to discuss the matter. He also added that in the meeting it was decided that the old website would be replaced by a new one. He cheerfully said that the man, who was engaged in the matter, traced out. They firmly resolved to do this work. A question comes at ease that they have spent six years to come to the conclusion, did this matter saved our appearances in our country? Let the matter left for you to think and decide.
The not working Website : http://www.indianmuseumkolkata.orgWe have some question till unanswered. These are:
1) To search the people who are maintaining the site took 6 long years. So, if we come to this conclusion that INDIAN MUSEUM(under Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India) have no service bill against the Website Maker and Service Provider, are we wrong?
2) Is it also not possible that any of the Senior Officer was involved to give the "traced out" person the work order, because INDIAN MUSEUM didn't aware of the address?
3) If the name of the site is not the same with the previous site so why Mr. Dasgupta is saying that nevertheless they stop the recent site they can't hoist the new one?
4) It is not very good looking that a Senior Officer of Govt. of India are giving his statement to press with a cigarette in hand. What do you think?
